Hello!
A little about myself. I attended and graduated (with honors) from Florida Atlantic University with a dual Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Elementary Education K-6 and ESOL. I went on to attend the University of Central Florida to pursue a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology in Curriculum and Design with a focus on technology. I am currently attending Western Governors University for a Master's degree in Biology. I have also completed certification coursework to teach our gifted population of students. Over the years I developed a competitive Odyssey of the Mind team, and led both middle school and high school students to debate in Model United Nations conferences across the state of Florida.
I moved to Florida about 25 years ago. I have two older children, two pit bulls and a bird. I love the great outdoors, and spending that time with the family. Sailing is my absolute favorite hobby, followed by photography, cooking, and reading food magazines. I have an affection for and a connection with wild animals. I grew up wanting to become an architect. I played right wing offense on a hockey team as a teen and even worked for the New York Islanders as a receptionist for a short time.
This will be my 10th year with the Odyssey Charter School family. I have taught 5th through 8th grade Science and Math, and look forward to another successful year!
